Where in Scotland is Gelston?

Dumfries & Galloway - Scotland's "road less travelled", a rich mix of wildness and civilization. Gelston is at its central point, far from the madding crowd and yet only 3 miles south of the thriving market town of Castle Douglas. The estate is in a National Scenic Area.

Another 4 miles south is the Solway Coast (the "Scottish Riviera") - where the Solway Firth juts into the west flank of the mainland, shielding the tame Cumbrians from the notoriously warlike Gallovidians. Just stay clear of their last hideouts in the rugged Galloway Hills to our northwest, and today you are assured of a warm welcome here.
