Sailing, Windsurfing, Kayaking, more

Another great facility on Loch Ken just 2 miles further up, the Galloway Sailing & Multi-Activity Centre offers tuition at all levels in anything to do with sails, as well as a host of other water and land activities including kayaking, rafting, laser-quest, climbing, etc. Days of fun for all ages. I well remember a certain famous Olympic runner finding that a week on water was a little more challenging!

The school is also approved by the RYA to train and accredit instructors in any of these sports (incl. the RYA powerboat handling certificate) - we know several families whose children have qualified as instructors here and thus acquired valuable life skills. Our own family is an example: parents hopeless landlubbers, so it is largely thanks to this sailing school that our eldest daughter Amy [20] has been Commodore of the St Andrews University Sailing Club and has just completed her first Fastnet Race. We here wish to acknowledge publicly how much Richard Hermon and his team have given to so many.
