The De'il cam fiddling thro' the town,
And danced awa wi' the Exciseman;
And ilka wife cries "Auld Mahoun,
We wish you luck o' your prize, man."

We'll mak our maut, and brew our drink,

And mony thanks to the muckle black De'il
That danced awa wi' the Exciseman.

There's threesome reels, and foursome reels,
There's hornpipes and strathspeys, man;
But the ae best dance e'er cam to our lan',
Was "The De'il 's awa wi' the Exciseman".

Bruce's Address at Bannockburn

Scots! wha hae wi' Wallace bled,
Scots! wham Bruce has aften led,
Welcome to your gory bed,
Or to victory!

Now's the day, and now's the hour;
See the front o' battle lour;
See approach proud Edward's power -
Chains and slavery!

Wha will be a traitor knave?

Wha for Scotland's King and law
Freedom's sword will strongly draw,

Lay the proud usurpers low!
Tyrants fall in every foe!
Liberty's in every blow! -
Let us do or die!

So may God ever defend the cause of truth and
liberty, as He did that day! Amen.
